A Unique Blend of Programming

CDIRCd

This is the page for an active project involving the reinvention of the IRC protocol, as originally defined by RFC 1459. It involves a new ~50 page Internet Draft (this is still being edited; a preview may be available soon) and a piece of cross-platform server software that implements this draft.

A preview binary will be available here at some point in the near future, as will a preview of the Internet Draft. It was originally intended for publication in 2010, however additional time and effort was found to be necessary to produce the best possible document. The source code is currently available on SourceForge; there has not been a SVN commit in a while, however.

This project is currently lying somewhat dormant, but this should change in the coming months. Schoolwork takes priority over personal projects.
